Es ist Februar 2026 und ich habe einen Blick zurück auf die Distribution des Statcounter-Desktop-Betriebssystems geworfen. Im Oktober 2025 wurde der Support für Windows 10 eingestellt, sodass viele Benutzer nur noch Windows 11 Everywhere verwenden können. Wie wird die Verteilung des Betriebssystems auf dem Desktop Ende Februar 2026 aussehen?
Verteilung des Betriebssystems auf allen Plattformen
Die Website statcounter.com hat die Marktanteile verschiedener Betriebssysteme (Desktop, Mobilgeräte) veröffentlicht. Android liegt Ende Februar 2026 bei 35,87 %, während Windows auf 31,37 % gesunken ist. iOS ist weiterhin mit 17,01 % der Nutzerbefürworter beliebt, OS X mit 3,43 % und macOS mit 2,31 % sind von untergeordneter Bedeutung.

Für Desktop-Systeme meldet statcounter.com die verschiedenen Betriebssystem-Marktanteile von Windows mit 66,83 %, OS X mit 7,3 %, macOS mit 4,92 % und Linux mit 2,88 %. Es findet hauptsächlich seitliche Bewegung statt.

Wenn man die Anteile des Windows-Betriebssystems auf dem Desktop auflistet, ergibt sich ein spannendes Bild: Seit Jahresbeginn und im Vergleich zum Vormonat hat Windows 11 einen großen Anteil hinzugewonnen, während Windows 10 verloren hat. Windows 11 kommt auf 72,78 % und Windows 10 auf 26,27 %.

Jetzt können Sie jonglieren und die Zahlen auf Nordamerika oder Europa beziehen. In allen Regionen gibt es einen starken Anstieg des Windows 11-Bestands auf Kosten von Windows 10. Windows 7 und Windows 8.x spielen keine praktische Rolle mehr. Diese Veränderung hat mich überrascht; So eindeutig hätte ich das nicht erwartet, zumal das kostenlose ESU-Programm mit Updates in Europa noch bis Oktober 2026 verfügbar ist.
Browser: Chrome tötet alles
Für mich war es interessant, die Verteilung der Browser auf dieser Statcounter-Seite zu betrachten. Der Browser Google Chrome ist mit einem Marktanteil von 68,98 % unangefochtener Spitzenreiter. Der Safari-Browser von Apple kommt auf einen Anteil von 16,39 %, Microsofts Edge auf 5,46 %. Firefox erreicht nur magere 2,259 %.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
